Entering the Virtual Design Space

Images from Week Two; March 13th and 14th

Students entered the design space that had been prepared for them, looked around and interacted in avatar form, and began practice building with a set of building module sketches provided for them. Students duplicated these building units, moved them from place to place, and rotated them, as they arranged them to create structures.

These first modules provided are meant to stimulate thinking about the scope of design approaches and types of building students might do, and help them think about the the types of modules they would like to be able to build with. The image below, at the top right, shows two copies of one of the practice modules being moved into place by a student to exend the flowing structure next to them, and seen in the next row in more detail.
